Brad is a Pittsburgh native, a recovered alcoholic, and the founder of Broken Hope. After suffering the loss of his mother to alcoholism, Brad’s social drinking escalated to dangerous levels. Thankfully, he sought counseling at that time and was able to realize that drinking a case of beer a day was a bit much. From there he was referred to a gentleman who did recovery work with addicts and alcoholics. He handed Brad an AA book, explained to him the cycle of addiction, and quickly Brad recognized that he was living in that cycle every day. Assured that there was a way out, Brad began to feel hopeful about his life as he worked through the 12 Steps that eventually delivered him from his addiction. After years of indulging in destructive behaviors, Brad began to really live. Once that transformation took place, he knew that he had to pass along what had been given to him; life and the relationship with God that made his recovery possible. So he began Broken Hope USA, a non-profit ministry and has been working in recovery services ever since. He truly loves this work and considers it a privilege to serve God in this way.
